Doctors are perplexed. Im not asking for a diagnoses but someone recommended to look into it.
Last year I was woken up at 1 in the morning with a sharp shooting pain in my ribcage. It was bad enough it hurt to breath. The next day I noticed I had swelling in my rib cage in this area imaged. My pcp scratched his head not knowing what was going on but noted it. I also had a known anyersm (now coiled) in the exact area so I asked the vacular team because it was still hurting with no relief. The PA noted I had considerable swelling in the cartilage where the pain was but he wasnt sure who to send me to. But he and his fellows said it wasnt the anyersm causing it. He did document it so it is on record there is something going on but ive been busy dealing with other issues that popped up around the same time.
About 2 months after the inital pain I had a cascade of issue trigger in a single night from a tearing sensation in the exact same area that ultimately unveiled some sort of dysautonomia. I was talking to someone at work and felt a intense tearing sensation that caused me to cry out in pain infront of them. Became short of breath with pain and ended up passing out due to the dysautonomia making itself known.
I saw a pain provider around the same time for newly diagnosed CRPS who couldnt figure out what is going on as well and told me "some things just happen"
Its been just over a year. The swelling has not subsided. It is painful off and on and im still having episodes of "tearing/stabbing" where pain shoots up into my neck, I become short of breath and tonight during a new tearing that caused me to start crying, the swelling got bigger. I am plus sized so I can't see bone moving especially with swelling. But I was wondering if this would suggest possible SRS and who do I talk to do get it looked at because im tired of sleeping on a heating pad every other night (it the only thing that can give me some sort of relief not 100% tho. Nothing else touches it)
