Hey everyone,

Me and 2 friends are heading to Montana for the first time and staying in Bigfork from June 26 to July 4. We’ll be visiting Glacier National Park multiple days and want to make the most of it.

We already have a rough plan (drive Going-to-the-Sun Road, hike Avalanche Lake, possibly Highline/Grinnell), but I wanted to ask people who know the area better:

What we’re looking for:

Best must-do hikes (worth waking up early for)

Hidden gems or less crowded spots

Any “don’t miss this” experiences

Good swimming spots / lake days

Fun stuff outside the park (rafting, towns, etc.)

Context:

We’re active and down for harder hikes

Also don’t want to burn out, so open to chill days too

Willing to wake up early if it’s worth it

First time in Glacier

Also:

Anything you wish you knew before going?

Any mistakes to avoid?
