Looking to add a fun shoe to the rotation - as a gift
My boyfriend has a birthday coming up and I'd like to buy him a running related gift. I had decided to buy the On Cloudmonster 3 because he really liked the Cloudmonster 2 but he beat me to it by buying a second pair of Cloudmonster 2's since they were on special. I guess that's how much he likes them!
This is his current rotation - 2 On Cloudmonster 2's (size 11), Adidas Terrex as a trail runner (size 12), Hoka Rincon 3 (11.5). I think he previously had a New Balance Fuel cell rebel he likes. He doesn't tend like super 'soft' shoes with huge stacks?
He has flat and wide feet. He is a long distance runner with a marathon and a few half marathons coming up and is interested in ultras. He runs roughly 4-5 times a week.
I was thinking of getting a fun race shoe (something that he wouldn't spend money on himself) or a new trail runner because I just noticed the Adidas has holes in the side near the toe. I'd love to get something different for him to try or add something to the rotation that maybe is missing? any recommendations?
