Game like depth rendering within redshift c4d

Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to recreate a typical “render distance” effect from video games in Cinema 4D using Redshift, where objects gradually fade out as they get further away from the camera.

Unfortunately, I can’t get it to work properly. I’ve tried using camera distance in the shader to drive opacity, but the result is either too abrupt or just doesn’t behave the way I expect.

I’d like to avoid volumetric fog because of the render times, so I’m looking for a lightweight, shader-based solution instead.

Has anyone here done something like this before and maybe has a sample scene or node setup they could share? That would really help me understand how to set this up correctly.

Thanks a lot!
