Can you hype me up?
Hello guys,
I (22f) will be receiving ketamine infusions in a few weeks for chronic pain in my right ribcage. The pain is constant, sometimes really severe and resistant to every medication tried so far (even opioids). I’ve had this pain for over a year following a stomach infection but after countless tests no doctor was ever able to diagnose me, so it’s supposed to be some type of central sensitization. Because of the constant pain I have also developed anxiety, depression and medical trauma. I am looking forward to receiving the infusions, however I am scared because any other treatment I’ve tried so far was unsuccessful, so this kinda feels like my last option. Is there anyone out there who was in a similar situation to me and has seen success with ketamine? What was your experience like? Any advice?
