Editors — how are you actually getting clients right now?
I’ve been noticing something:
Most editors are stuck doing one of these:
• Spamming cold DMs
• Fighting on Fiverr/Upwork
• Getting underpaid or ghosted
And honestly, it’s inefficient as hell.
So I tried something different.
I started a small private Discord where I connect editors directly with clients I find. No platform fees, no middleman cuts — editors just pay a small weekly/monthly fee to be inside.
Current structure:
• $5/week → ~3–5 clients
• $10/week → ~7–10 clients
• $100/month → higher paying clients ($50–100+/min type work)
Editors keep 100% of what they earn.
If I don’t deliver clients during the subscription → I refund. Simple.
We’ve only been running for a short time, but a few editors already landed $5–$20/min projects through it.
Not trying to sell anything hard here — just testing if this model actually helps editors long term vs the usual grind.
Would you join something like this, or do you prefer finding clients yourself?
(If you want details, you can DM me — but mainly curious what you guys think about this approach.)
