Just released Vol. 1 of NO LOVE SONGS on Subvert – looks like you can play the whole album without being logged in.

No Love Songs, Vol. 1 is about how to create the conditions for change and fight for our own survival, opting out of capitalism’s grip and leaving behind past versions of ourselves, and how to take care of one another and stay human as technology takes over.

Will follow with Vol. 2 in a few weeks. If you've been following along, you know that I've been auditioning new streaming platforms and this is one that has the most promise IMO. u/Subvert is an alternative to Bandcamp, and they will have their public release next week on May 12.

I find myself not even interested in opening the app anymore. I keep it because my local music community still uses it to connect about gigs and such, and of course, venues want to see that you’re promoting your shows.

But let’s be honest, it doesn’t do anything well anymore. It’s a zombie platform that people keep posting to, just going through the motions because we’re “supposed to.”

If you’re still making it work for your business, good on you. I’m sure there must be some successes out there or it wouldn’t remain popular, right?
