3.0.2 Fixes for Sorceress

Fixed issues affecting Meteor, Fireball, Chain Lightning, Ice Shards, Hydra, and related upgrades where damage, bonuses, or interactions did not function as described.

What exactly did they fix anyone noticed any fix?

So far I tested the Hydra and;

Behemoth Hydra still not interacting with Aspect of the Ancient Flame.

Also;

Now Ball Lightning does not reduce the cooldowns with the Aspect of the Orange Herald.(This was working before the patch).

I just noticed there is no 'Core' tag on the Ball Lightning. Did they changed it with this update? Other mastery skills still have the 'Core' tag.

Came back to the game after 1 year, this expansion actually feels way better compared to past versions. Crafting and activities in the game was good. Item filter is a w. I think the most important missing part is the AH now.

It is nice to see that the game is going a better direction. BUT;

After 3 years from the release, the Sorcerer still not completed. Skills, enchantments and items are still not interacting correctly with each other or not working at all. Giving some examples below:

Enchantment and Item interactions:

Fire Bolt: If you convert fire bolt to frost, burning damage increase node become frostbite damage increase but its enchantment remain as burning damage. Synergy is lost.

Also I tried to make a workaround for this with using Vox Omnium staff and Frozen Orb with Fire variant to make enemies burning. The description on the staff is "Casting a Core skill triggers a random equipped Basic Skill at a random enemy with x damage increase". But it seems the core and basic skill must be in same element type which is not mentioned.

Spark: Fire variant is not working with the Levin Grasp unique item. Explosion count is still 3 after equipping the item.

Ice Shard: This one is also not interacting with its enchantment either. Especially for the Glacial Spike and Thunderbolt variants.

The list going on for most of the skills.
I will not go to details for the rest to keep the post as small as possible.

Some skills are very similar to each other, so actually there is not much variety as it seems.

Fire Bolt - Frost Bolt,

Chain Lightning - Incinerate with Disintegration.

Ice Shard thunderbolt - Arc Lash Inescapable Reach.

Skill Tree

Spamming skill points to active skills is boring. Removing passive nodes was a mistake.

Having multiple active skills does not have a meaningful synergy with your build most of the time.

Paragon Legendary nodes are boring. Just damage increase not much unique interactions.

Legendary Aspects are boring, same reason

Sets are boring, same reason.

Summary

Overall the class doing very well until pit 110ish with a decent off-meta builds. But beyond that you don't have much choice to do something unique. Current situation of the class making me sad as sorcerer is my favorite class.

This class needs a better damage scaling so, Blizz should stop capping the damage resources and then may be we can start creating some unique builds that can go higher.

I will try the new classes later, hoping that those are designed better...
