we've been troubleshooting problems with the PoE WiFi AP....

Does the amber PoE say everything or should I look into this more?
Pacific office set this up like 4 years ago and we've been bitching about the wifi being intermittent ever since. They say they cant figure it out. Of course they arent giving me the login to any web UI to figure it out myself.....All I can do is inspect the equipment, and I notice the PoE light isn't green. This is definitely a problem, right?
