Open Trails to the Rails

Today, (Saturday, May 9th) the Open Trails to the Rails will be taking place along the recently completed stretch of trail renovations that follows the upcoming Green Line Extension. This thread will be used to keep track of the event as it goes on throughout the day.

General Information
The event page is located on Metro Transit's website which has specific details and a schedule. This event contains biking (guided tour), boarding a Green Line train, stoping at new stations, games, a ribbon cutting ceremony, and food + treats. Parking will be limited, so accessing the event by transit or bike is (obviously) recommended.

Schedule Summary
The event starts as early as 10am departing from downtown Hopkins (and stopping at Louisiana Avenue Station at 10:15am) before eventually reaching West Lake Street Station. There, the ribbon cutting ceremony will commence at 11am. At 12pm, a guided bike ride will leave West Lake Street Station to show off trail improvements before returning to Hopkins. There will be other events also occurring through 2pm at various locations.
