10,000 credits disappeared overnight after upgrading to Plus — slide deck generation? Bug or normal? [Support unresponsive]

Hi everyone,

I upgraded to the Plus plan (10,000 credits/month) and ran into a serious issue that I'm hoping the community can help with since support is pointing me to a week-long queue.

What happened:

  • Day 1 after upgrading: Credits weren't showing up at all despite my account showing "Plus" status
  • I worked around it by completing some free credit actions
  • Day 2 (today): My account suddenly shows I've used over 10,000 credits — entirely on a single slide deck generation

I have screenshots from yesterday showing the credits weren't even registering. How did 10,000 credits vanish overnight on one task?

My questions for anyone who's been through this:

  1. Is it normal for a slide deck to consume 10,000 credits? What's the typical credit cost for slide generation?
  2. Has anyone else experienced credits disappearing or being miscounted like this — especially right after upgrading?
  3. Is this a known bug, or am I an isolated case?

Support acknowledged my ticket but said it could take up to a week to get back to me. That's not acceptable when billing is involved and I can't use a service I'm paying for.

Any help from the community or anyone from the Genspark team here would be appreciated.
