Very tough decision deciding between two schools

Hello everyone,

This cycle I was extremely fortunate enough to have been accepted into a PA program. Today I just received a phone call that I got out of the waitlist for another program. However, I am very conflicted choosing between the two programs. Hopefully you guys can guide me.

Program A originally accepted me all the way back in September. Program B is the one that called me today. Both are in California. Both start this August.

Program A Program B
Accreditation Accredited Provisional
Cost $156,915 $143,582
PANCE pass rate 2021 96% 2022 91% 2023 89% 2024 82% 2025 85% 2023 93% 2024 97%
Attrition rate 2022-2025 0% 2023 3.5% 2024 0% 2025 3%
Location Bay Area; 9 hours from where I currently live in SoCal SoCal; where I currently live and 2hr drive from my family
Clinical locations IIRC; they are literally scattered throughout the state. Not ideal. Within two counties, all within a 2-hour drive (at max)
Program length 28 months 28 months

Objectively, program B is the better option. What concerns me about program A is the drop in the PANCE pass rate however last year they seemed to have reversed the decline.

I would accept program B in a heartbeat. But now I present to you my dilemma. Last week I just submitted my application for the NHSC scholarship. With my very high GPA, letter of rec's and background I believe I have a good chance at earning the scholarship. Which, if you don't know, pays for everything. Which is especially important given the new loan changes. Now, for that scholarship I told them I was attending program A. If I commit to program B, i essentially forfeit that scholarship. But, given the new loan changes, I suspect there was a major uptick in applicants which may make it way more competitive. Which makes me think what if I commit to program A for the scholarship, but I don't end up getting it while I just forfeited my seat to a slightly cheaper program.

Program B just makes sense to me. I have lived in the area where the program is at for the past 5 years, have gotten to know the healthcare system and institutions very well, familiar with the population, and is 2 hour drive from my family. I may even land a job where i currently work at as an ED tech. The only con i can think of for program B is that its a religious based institution and Im not that personally religious.

Please leave your thoughts down below. They have only given me 3 days to make a decision lol.

Closest thing i will ever get to rollin n scratchin live

At coachella right now. Saw boyz noize last night. I have an acute ear for daft punk songs, and i can definitely tell he used the beats from RNS in this track. Sounds more similar to the more upbeat version on '97 alive.

10 days since all four wisdom teeth extracted; persistent jaw pain, hypersensitivity on 2nd molars

Hello all, so on April 8th, I (24M) had all four wisdom teeth taken out. The bottom left was close to a nerve and pretty impacted and quite literally took an hour and a half. The rest took 5-10 minutes. Also important to note that the bottom right was also impacted.

It has been 10 days since post-op. And i have been suffering with persistent lower jaw pain and hypersensitivity on my 2nd lower molars. The top ones seemed to have healed just fine. I noticed this began on day 5, so on day 7 I visited my dentist and discovered food particles that were stuck on the sites where my bottom molars were which were irritating the gums/nerves. My dentist said no signs of infection, dry socket, and it was healing just fine. She also said since those bottom ones were pretty impacted, it will take some more time to heal. Since then i have been on a liquid diet since if i were to irrigate the area to clear off food particles i get crazy hypersensitivity on that area. Especially to the lower right area (which is ironic since the lower left one took way longer to extract)

Since my last visit to the dentist, the swelling around those 2nd bottom molars seems to be coming down. Hypersensitivity also seems to be calming down as well. Im still doing salt water rinses although it hurts like a b*tch when i rinse the bottom right area. Currently no bad breath, making sure those areas are clean, and i have absolutely zero pain when im on Ibuprofenx2 and tylenolx2.

Ive trying to taper off the pain meds, but when im not on the pain meds, i get this crazy, 7/10 pain on the area of the jaw i marked on the image. Bilateral but much more prominent on the right side of the jaw. Doesnt radiate, throbbing, and it doesnt even feel like its not even originating from the wisdom teeth extraction site.

Just wondering if anyone experience anything similar and how long it took them to get pain free? Really just trying to live my life without being dependent on pain meds.
