I'm trying to build a silent machine. The Noctua fans for the main board are good but i bought a small fan for the PSU and it is extremely loud.

I power then fan with the PSU so it's always at max speed. Should i get a PWM fan and monitor the PSU temperature ? Is the fan absolutely necessary ?
