My doctor has prescribed 300,000 IU of vitamin D injections and has told me to take them for 3 alternate days. As in 300,000 on Monday, same on Wednesday and again on Friday

My levels are 6.7 ng/ml which I know is extremely deficient but isn't the dosage he's given way too high? Not sure if he gave the wrong amounts or if this is standard

Any advice would be great! He said to follow this up with taking a tablet once a week. Am considering ignoring the injections and just starting with the tablets
