AC Condensate Drain Mystery
Recently had a plumber redo this AC condensate drainage system for an air handler in the ceiling. It gravity drains from a pan's secondary drain (was like this when I moved in, probably not the best installation). He added about an inch of slope to what was essentially unsloped before.
Last night the pan was completely overflowing while running the AC at 70. By the morning it was empty and when the plumber came today he was unable to recreate the problem by pouring water into the pan.
Any ideas why he wasn't able to recreate the overflowing problem? The plumber seemed flabbergasted. Would love input from someone knowledgeable.
