Hyrox Rotterdam Map + Race Strategy

yoo. who’s racing rotterdam this week? the map is wild, so figure I’d share some extra details and maybe if anybody that’s a mario kart expert can help with race strategy. 🙃

here’s what I’m seeing:

- more u-turns than you’d expect and the stations aren’t in numerical order, so don’t assume you know where you’re going.

- the lap rules for singles & doubles: enter the IN arch the third time you see it. every single run.

- lap rules for relay: relay run 1 — enter the IN arch the third time you see it / relay runs 2-8 — enter the IN arch the second time you see it.

- 2 min penalty for running too little

- to save time, plan to have water after your stations, because they’re not in the best position for most stations when you enter the rox zone.

- the average roxzone running distance is like 600-700m, but this one seems crazy.

- still unclear the path to get to wall balls quickly.

feel like there’s gonna be a bunch of people running in all sorts of directions.

HYROX Training Plan

hey folks, I'm building a hyrox training doc that I plan to offer to some training clients and newbies in hyrox. a lot of people come in and out of the hyrox gyms I'm at and love the burn of a training class, but don't understand the discipline or training involved to mentally and physically prep for a race.

the goal is to build a few different kinds of plans, but right now I'm finishing up 1 8-12 week program. I'm curious if anybody is interested in trying it out and sharing feedback.

not trying to sell anything here, just trying to give the plan I created out and see how people feel about it. holler if you're interested. thanks!
