Nonprofit club board of director governance

For coaches out there, what’s your opinion of your club’s board? And do you even have think about them at all? Also, for the coach administrators/leaders, how is your relationship with the board? Do they rubber stamp everything you suggest or have feelings and attempt to provide guidance and guardrails for the club (for better or worse)? I’m sure some boards suck, I’m sure some boards are good; just interested in other perspectives and experiences in that environment.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Noticed this post on Threads earlier today, and it got me wondering. Anyone want to posit some old timetable or OAG scheduling from 1985-1987 to venture some possibilities on what plane Steve Martin’s character would have flown on from JFK-ORD (looking past the unlikelihood that a marketing/advertising guy with a late afternoon biz meeting in Midtown Manhattan and an early evening flight back home would have traipsed all the way down to Long Island to fly out of JFK versus LGA …)
