History repeats itself 💔

Trial Card lang pala na good for two years. Parang ang labas they became dispensable kahit may medals at overachieving everything for the country.

Common denominator? Same same ang mga namuno, same same din na salot not only sa fed but on women's sports as well.

Kaya importante coming 2028 elections, we really need to vote wisely and elect capable leaders not only for the betterment of athletes but for the citizens too

Today's generation will not (and never) tolerate bullshitery gawa ng PNVF. I know that's a harmless take pero iba na ang players ngayon because they themselves know that they deserve better. While you're battling everyday because you have to deal with a program that has no plans of sustainability, going back to square one over and over again, undercompensation... where will your sacrifices take you? Saan kayo tutungo?

[Survey] If PVL implements Salary Cap for ALL players (excluding rookies), magkano ang gusto niyong limit?

The reason many leagues eventually implement a salary cap is not because they hate players earning big money. It’s because unchecked spending can slowly break the league ecosystem itself.

And hindi helping ang mga lumilipad na chismis from the Philippine volleyball circuit. Naalala niyo ba yung comment ni Ricky Palou which triggered the Rookie Draft with salary caps later on. “Base on what I hear, P400,000, may pa-kotse pa. Nagugulat nga ako,” Heck may signing bonus pa ngang isang milyon katumbas ng sampung players na sasahurin ng team

“I’m telling everybody, this is getting out of hand. We have to do something to level the playing field.”

Here are why leagues implemented salary cap:

1. Prevent Rich Teams from hoarding the league stars. Pero I'll exempt Creamline on this one kasi during 2023 season andami na nilang nalagpasan na UAAP stars post-S85. Pag walang cap na inilatag, rich teams will simply outbid other teams. Ironically, PVL Rookie Draft was designed para hindi magsabunutan ang teams sa isang rookie during off season. Pero hindi pa rin sapat yun because bidding wars can still happen indirectly with perks, endorsements etc. (Partly truth but partly ouch as well) kahit sabihin nating PR yan.

2. Protect smaller teams from collapsing. Eto yung paulit-ulit na kino-call out ni Fabio Menta about sa salary ng players. Even the strongest PVL teams don’t generate massive TV revenue compared to major global leagues. Ang mangyayari kasi sa mga small teams is they'll burn their own money and emotionally overspend para lang makuha si blue chip UAAP star (before draft) or a decorated PVL player. A cap acts like financial guardrails.

3. Salary Caps Create League Parity The reason why NFL, NBA and WNBA became competitive dahil sa salary system nila ang nagp-prevent ng talent stacking sa iisang team lang. It may initially restrictive for you pero salary caps can protect teams for sustainability in the long run.

4. Endorsements Already Creates Natural Inequality. Kahit may salary cap na, ang players ay yayaman pa rin through brand deals, endorsements, TV Appearance, and such. Kaya si Alyssa Valdez ay may malaking off-court value dahil sa popularity, championshils and awards under her belt, branding revenue and fanbase. Leagues trying to separate team cap and endorsement income pero dapat may limit pa rin sa payroll for healthy competition na rin.

5. PVL is still young. Six years (or five) si PVL since professionalization. The league's growing fast pero hindi pa siya financially enough to casually sustain the PBA style of salary. A salary cap will help teams preventing for reckless contracts, inflated expectations, financial imbalance and worse— team instability that will lead teams to file Leave of Absence

No more Alas Pilipinas core and Coach Tai

No player from the Alas Pilipinas Women’s 33rd SEA Games roster, except Angel Canino and Amie Provido, will be considered for the 2026 AVC Women’s Cup.

The likes of Jia de Guzman and Bella Belen have turned down the invite.

Meanwhile head coach Tai Bundit will miss ‘two to three months’ as he recovers from an ankle injury sustained in an accident in Thailand.

The PNVF is in the process of selecting an interim head coach from its pool of deputies.

How low can you go for clout?

What if you should hit back to the gym instead of clout chasing ano?

Yung winagayway ni Jelai diyan btw was Cassie Carballo's card. Ya is wa diba?

We already have bigger issues to face tapos sumabay ka pa. Nakakahiya ka sa school niyo teh, sa totoo lang (I could have said it better)

SOURCES SAY PVL limits dispersal of Cignal players to 2 per team

Ano ba PVL, every time may team na nag-LOA may new rules?

The directive said a team may acquire a maximum of only two players from Cignal’s roster.

The memo also stated that teams must first submit a written notice to the league before finalizing any agreement or making public announcements involving former Super Spikers players.

The league, one line read, reserves the right to determine which players can move to another team to avoid disrupting the PVL's competitive balance.

The PVL said the move is to “ensure fairness and prevent disproportionate roster consolidation.”

Fantastic Tickets and Where to Find Them

You know that this bad kapag kahit parents ng players walang makuhang tickets sa mga schools maging sa website.
