Hi, has anyone changed their existing credit card with CBA to another card type (keep existing limit) and did it trigger a hard credit enquiry?

I have the Smart Awards card but want to change to a no monthly fee credit card, as I'm not spending enough to get the monthly fee waived.

CBA chat have been vague saying it may or may not trigger a credit enquiry, and that at the point of application it also won't tell you if it will trigger the credit enquiry.
