Winning with less

Winning with less

Not quite the one man doom stack, but its really early into the campaign with little equipment. Potion of healing, talisman of preservation and null plate on dechala. 4 stacks of skaven including Snikch posed little threat, but almost killed my heroes.

DLC power creep am i right? I cant imagine Skulltaker or skarbrand being able to do this. I could see sayl or tamurkhan being able to do this solo though.

The AI lumping all their armies around their capital this early is seriously shit. CA needs to fix their spaghetti code for the AI. VH/VH AI buffs maxed.

Employed all sons and daughters of the world under Hashut

First time conquering the world. It was a very tedious process, but manageable. I was able to access high tier units at turn 50 and things started to pop off from there. Fought defensively and employed harassment hit and run tactics with my sorcerer and flying monsters to kill off or delay the fast units or artillery. Never used bale taurus before this run but found that they were very useful.

From my experience, these are the most dangerous armies to go against:

  1. Slaanesh - Super fast. Went up against a 4 stack and had to recruit another lord just to have the option of control large army. Even controlled, I had trouble dealing with the constant onslaught of cav, chariots and other flankers. Even with all the micro, they still got to my back line every time.
  2. Lizardmen - Their flying units, are really annoying. Coatl cloaks ground units its hovering and its bound spells typically targets my missile units which was annoying. Terradon riders are annoying as well. Luckly I had flaming cows with wings to deal with them. They also field a lot of single entities which is troublesome.
  3. Nurgle - Super Tanky. Especially if they have a lot of single entities to deal with.
  4. The empire - They out ranged my guns. Had to send in bale taurus to disable their artillery and / or their steam tanks. Gave me a bit of trouble but still manageable.
  5. Dark elves - Total push overs. The only thing going for them is their shades with the stalk ability.

Special shout out to youtuber Dragonimous. Used his strat to upgrade crook back mountain to tier 3 to get early armaments which really propelled my campaign.
