I work remotely in NNJ, but occasionally need to go into my companies various offices, including our NYC one. I usually Uber to my local station and take the train into NY Penn. (pre-2019, I was a daily commuter)
Imagine my “surprise” when I get to the station to take an early train in, only to get the warning in the app AFTER I bought my ticket.
I was standing on the platform and heard someone say that the app is showing a delay through the tunnels. When I opened the app to buy my ticket, no warning. Once I bought it, BAM, big red warning of delays across the top of the app.
I’m still on the train, somewhere along the path, since we still cannot see where we’re going b/c of the damn cheap UV filter they put on the windows.
This post may not even make it out since the signal out here in what I assume to be the Meadowlands is so terrible.
Please tell me wife and kids that I love them, and my work that I don’t think I’ll make it in today, as the rails have taken us. lol
