Okay so now that I have my Razorock GC .84 P, I can semi retire my first safety razor - Gilette Tech 1930’s.

I’ve used it for two years in as shown condition after cleaning it up, and I was wondering if someone could help me understand what it’s made of and what the orange parts are so that I can get it cleaned up and fixed.

It has sentimental value to me and I would like to make sure it still works, and stays functional.

I’m gonna shave with it now but I need to know - HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF IT SO IT LASTS A LIFETIME?

Edit : I just shaved and OH MY GOD IT FIXES MY ISSUE WITH THE TECH BEING TOO MILD! i used to struggle to get through under my chin and my mustache with the tech + wilcoxen sword blade and GC + same blade just sails through, and i barely got any irritation/burn when i applied my old spice after shave. ITS BASICALLY PERFECT AND IM ONE AND DONE THANK GOD. more blade feel ofc but i honestly liked it, and the sound of the blade is ADDICTING.
