I'm a big POE and Deadfire fan, bought both games at launch and did the same with Avowed even though I was a bit skeptical of it being an FRPG, like many others. My PC died right after getting it though and replacing it was a low priority so I didn't get a chance to play it until the past month. I've played for around 40 hours now and I've enjoyed it a lot. Yes it's not POE or Deadfire but it's a fun game, has a good story, and I love getting a chance to be in Eora again. Feels like it only got hated on because it wasn't a different game.
