I just discovered that there is an auto setting for regen. This lets me coast freely but the car will gradually increase regen based distance/deceleration of the car in front of me. No car in front? It'll coast on 0/1. Car in front, it increases regen to slow down (I am avoiding using the term brake as it won't fully stop the vehicle as far as I can tell) as long as my foot is off the accelerator pedal. Amazing! I love it!

If you're like me and have never seen this before, hold the right regen paddle until the auto indicator appears.
