Hi, just looking for some opinions and maybe advice based on your personal experience!

Please don't leave negative comments! Just being honest below.

We recently completed our sperm donation with Seed Scout. Initially we wanted to use an exclusive donor and had actually picked one, but he ended up not working out. Then we went back and our favourite choice had already donated, so we went with him.

I go through waves of struggling with this choice. I admit I get an "ick" thinking about our children sharing half siblings with people we don't know. The pressure to have our kids know them or have a relationship with them when we ourselves don't know them feels heavy. But waiting until our kids are big enough to request a relationship doesn't feel right either. My wife wants to just let the kids lead but I worry that won't work.

The thing I struggle with is that I think my hesitation around donor siblings is very heteronormative. We have an internalized phobia about it because its outside of the normal (read: straight) nuclear family.
