Something I always wondered : Why is the Hudson so smooth and the islands of Canada are so inlet-dense?

Could someone educate me or are there like weather patterns? this has always genuinely baffled me!

Hello, i wanted to get feedback on my comic, first ever comic strip!

The comic is the "Hundred Years War", if your not a history nerd like me, blue is France, red is Britain, dark red is Burgundy, and Yellow is Scotland. If you wanna know the countries next to the title, it goes from left to right like this : Ireland, Brittany, Navarre, Wales. All of these countries participated in some way shape or form but didn't make it into this highly simplified comic (yes i know burgundy didn't immediately leave France after the start of the war). If you have read all the way to the end, a fun fact is Scotland and France's alliance was called the "Auld Alliance", but enough of my ramble, you can check out my comic now!

The comic... yeah.
