NEXT STEPS

-I have a liver ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow 5/1

-follow-up bloodwork with hematologist will be on 5/6 (*for context, I’ve been seeing her for a couple years to follow my low WBC at my annual physicals, which began as a peace of mind visit. My WBC have since gone to a “beautiful” range/not concerning at this point)

-I am also being referred to a perinatal center by my OB

QUESTIONS

I am absolutely terrified and have no patience.

-What is the likely cause? Serious liver or gallbladder issues? Something reversible? Everything I see says “could be but unlikely.” The fact I’m pregnant, it says usually liver enzymes would increase later so unlikely. I try to eat healthy, but have pregnancy related food aversions right now so I eat what I can. Some days, I’ll have grain bowls/salads and other days it’s fried chicken and ice cream, for example. Likewise, when I researched if this could be related, it said that my diet wouldn’t cause “that” much of an increase of my liver enzymes. I used to frequent the gym, but have lost motivation with my pregnancy nausea (no vomiting/no HG) and tiredness, so pretty stagnant lately. It also says this wouldn’t cause such an in tease either. I try to stay hydrated but some days are better than others—related? Apparently not likely. I looked up my meds and it says those are unlikely causes too. I’m so frustrated and confused.

-Also, anything I can do to bring these numbers down?

Please let me know if you have any questions for me.
