Carvana fixed my brakes during 7 day window
Last week I closed on a 2023 bmw x3. The next day I took it to my local bmw service center and got a clear bill of health with a recommendation to replace brake pads and brake components soon.
Took the car to a in-network / approved mechanic the same day and was able to get them to replace the pads and other components aside from the rotors (which were in low end of manufacturer specs) saving me over $1k. Considering brakes aren’t normally covered I was pretty happy they covered the work!
To make this happen I did have to call SilverRock and complain that I’d hate to return the car but I did feel their inspection should have resulted in them replacing the pads before selling the car. The rep I spoke to was pretty nice, and overall most of the legwork ended up being between the in-network mechanic and silver rock themselves.
Just wanted to share my story in case someone has a similar issue. They WILL pay for things typically not covered in the 7 day window.
