My friends called my self-help collection 90% fluff, but I feel they are looking at it the wrong way.
I have about 40 books, and 25 are self-improvement (think Atomic Habits, Eat That Frog, Sleep Smarter). A friend recently told me they’re useless because they’re mostly filler.
But I don't think so,
ROI: Even if a book is 90% fluff, if that remaining 10% gives you one idea that changes a habit or solves a recurring problem, it’s worth the €15 and 5 hours of reading. If Atomic Habits helps you actually stick to a workout routine for the next few months, it's awesome!
You can't read The 5 AM Club like a fiction novel. These books are meant to be implemented. If you aren't highlighting, taking notes, or changing your schedule as you read, then yea. It’s just a story about someone else's success.
But when I tell this, people tell me why? It won't work. Like dude, if you don't even try and just read it like a reddit post and move on. It will never work.

People who don't smoke or drink, what do you do when you are at your lowest?
