Nooo, Not again...

Wtf is going on this week. This is the 4th one in a week.

https://tuxcare.com/blog/fragnesia-cve-2026-46300-is-a-new-linux-kernel-lpe/

For those who are wondering is it only for linux. Here are the vulnerabilities found in windows in this week alone (137+ CVEs):

- Microsoft May 2026 Patch Tuesday (May 12): Fixed ~120–137 CVEs across Windows, Office, SharePoint, Azure, etc.

- Uses crafted ‘FsTx’ files + WinRE to access encrypted drives (physical access/USB). Works on TPM-only setups. PoC public; active exploitation reported.

- GreenPlasma (Privilege Escalation): Targets CTFMON (ctfmon.exe) for SYSTEM-level access. PoC public; active exploitation reported.

Arch people...

Hey guys, how did you actually install Arch? Did you go full manual with the wiki open in a million tabs and suffer through partitioning hell, or did you just use "archinstall"? How was the whole experience for you?

I tried to install the manual way a couple of times and I think the archinstall way is much more efficient. What do you think?

It is Almost 60$ for the brave-orgin on windows but completely free on linux? Why would they do that? What do you think about this?

Linux is not having the best of time

Linux Dirty Frag vulnerability lets attackers achieve root access on virtually all major Linux distributions, with a public exploit already in the wild.

Dirty Frag belongs to the same vulnerability class as Dirty Pipe and Copy Fail (CVE-2026-31431), but targets the frag member of the kernel's struct sk_buff rather than struct pipe_buffer. (From X)

What's with this big corps pushing AI slop without our consent?

I mean nobody asked for it for real. We need to promote and push FOSS more into the stream line to defend against this. More transparency and control over software.

It is actually a super serious thing that without full disk encryption anybody can access anything on a pc regarding windows or Linux and even change root creds and drop shells. I never heard anyone actually recommending full disk encryption.
