Hey everyone. Quick question about rehire benefits policy:

I previously worked at KPMG for about 3 years, left the firm (~4 months ago), and I’m considering coming back.

Regarding the 16 week paternity leave benefit, does anyone know if prior service counts toward that 1-year requirement for rehires? Or does the clock reset when you come back?

I’m aware that the window for leave is 1 year after the baby is born so I’ll eventually qualify but would prefer to take it within first 6 months from birth.

Would really appreciate any insight, especially from others who’ve been in a similar situation. Thanks!
