I went on a rabbit hole two years ago and discovered that there weren’t really any popular Coptic characters in fictional media despite it being one of the oldest Christian groups in the world. My friends and I brainstormed and created Zayn Abaza, the deuteragonist of our upcoming webcomic. What do you think of his design and lore?❤️

(The final still has revisions to undergo, as it was illustrated by an artist new to the team and they didn’t properly draw Zayn’s hair.)

How is the legibility to yall and spacing? Also are you able to follow the translations? If no, what can I do to improve on that. I used clip studio on mobile for the lettering. I randomly got DM’d and I tried to be friendly. After I saw that the user was persistently trying to get a commission which I didn’t want, I blocked them. After blocking them they then deleted all their messages but I had already taken screenshots of the chat.

This is the evolution of the deuteragonist I and my friends have been working on for our comic book. He’s actually my(Oghosa’s) favourite character in the whole story. What do you think of his design, origins and everything that went into creating him?

This is a passion project my friends and I and I came uo with two years ago and is finally coming to fruition. Excited to share it with yall.

ABOUT THE STORY:

Altered is set in a world where roughly 10% of earth’s population is born with a gene granting superhuman abilities. These individuals (and their powers) are called Alters.

At its core, it’s a character-driven series following Israel Pope, a 19 year-old British-Nigerian, whose alter, “total recall,” grants him the ability to remember every moment of his life, and also access the memories of anyone through DNA contact. The story follows Israel leaving London for Los Angeles to track down his twin-sister, Amarachi, who he’s been separated from for the past 16 years following a terror attack. What he finds when he gets there will pull him into the path of a group of people whose lives will never be the same again.
