recruiter told me that I'd be better fit for a different role
I went in to give a interview for a sr. software engineer role with focus on AI. We had a conversation which was good but the end of the call he said that he think I'm a better fit for AI engineer role. I told him I do have more experience with software engineering but I am fine with that role as well. But I already applied for the AI role as well and told him that and he said he'll look into it.
What do you think is it a good sign for a recruiter to talk about other position?
Am I likely to heard back even when he said I can't give you any time but I'll look into it so you don't think I ghosted you.
