Hi everyone, I’d appreciate your assessment of this. My Cube is only 8 months old and I mainly use it for my commute to school, with the occasional light forest path for exercise, though I’m on asphalt most of the time (90%).

I’ve just discovered a air leak right on the sidewall (see 2nd photo). I'm fine with changing the inner tube, but I'd really rather not throw away the tire already if it’s not absolutely necessary. The bike was just in for a different repair last week, which my insurance covered completely. Even though this new damage would probably be covered too, it feels a bit weird to send them another bill immediately. Because of that, I’m wondering if this is something I can still safely fix myself.

Moin zusammen, ich brauche mal eure Einschätzung, mein Cube ist erst 8 Monate alt und ich nutze es hauptsächlich für den Weg zur Schule und ab und zu für leichte Waldwege als Ausgleich, meistens bin ich aber auf Asphalt unterwegs. (90%)

Jetzt habe ich einen Luftverlust genau an der Seitenwand entdeckt... (2 Foto) Den Schlauch zu wechseln ist für mich okay, aber ich würde den Mantel ungern jetzt schon wegschmeißen, wenn es nicht unbedingt sein muss, das Rad war erst letzte Woche wegen einer anderen Sache in Reparatur, was die Versicherung (Barmenia) komplett übernommen hat und obwohl der neue Schaden vermutlich auch versichert wäre, fühlt es sich irgendwie komisch an, denen direkt die nächste Rechnung zu schicken. Deshalb meine Frage, ob man das noch sicher selbst fixen kann.
