I can easily see that when the angle is acute, then the third side of the triangle could be in two different positions.

However if the known angle is obtuse, the third side of the triangle can only be in one position. Does this make it an effective postulate to prove congruence?

So my idea is this. From transversal DB, I can tell that angle EDC and ABE are equal.

From transversal CA, I can tell that angle DCE and BAE are equal.

So therefore from Angle Side Angle I can tell that triangle ABE is congruent to triangle CDE.

Because those two triangle are congruent, I can tell that the following two pairs of line segments are also congruent.

AE = EC

DE = EB

Because those segments are congruent, that proves that the diagonals bisect each other. Therefore, the shape is a parallelogram. Where's the flaw in my logic?

Khan Academy is telling me that this is wrong.

I'm staying two nights at a Hilton in Scottsdale Arizona. I already payed about $500 in total. Upon checking in, I was charged about ANOTHER $500 dollars for "taxes and fees". What is going on? I feel like I was just robbed.
