Which first guitar should I get?

I borrowed my friend’s guitar a while back to try it out and a few years later I’m wanting to buy my own. I don’t know too much, and am just wanting to pick it up as a hobby so looking for something affordable.

I originally wanted a jaguar body simply because I love the look of them, and came across Harley Benton. Reviews and price seem good, and for a casual hobby I don’t want to fork out loads. I’m now stuck between two models and want people’s thoughts. What are the pros and cons please (in simple terms lol) cause I need help choosing.

Like I said, I really don’t have that much knowledge, and don’t know what makes a guitar ‘beginner friendly’ or if that‘s even a thing. It might just be a case of picking the one I like the look of the most but I’d still love to hear what people think.

Side note: if anyone has any pictures please share, I’d love to see them!

Would just like to add that I can’t decide which one I like best as of yet, so I’m kind of hoping the pros and cons will sway me lol

Curly hair question!

I hope this is allowed, I was told to come here from another subreddit. Please don’t come for me curl police!

Basically, I’m trying to figure out if I’m taking care of my hair wrong and what type it might be. I've always said I have pin straight hair, it holds no style (not even when I had curtain bangs).
I've chopped about 6 inches off recently cause it was bum length and it's felt more springy/lighter.

First photo is my hair when I get out of bed, no brushing, and second photo is after a brush. I see now it's not pin straight like it was when it was longer but I still don't consider it wavy once brushed.

If I've ruined my hairs natural pattern thinking it was straight I'd like to get it back!! I also find once the air hits it, it tends to look and feel a bit tatty and I'm brushing it a ridiculous amount. I've always wished my hair had more volume so hopefully I can achieve that?

I’m not trying to claim my hair is super wavy or anything, but I just want to know if I should be taking care of it differently to allow the pattern in the first photo to come through and hold. If I’m ruining it by brushing it out every day I’d like to fix it and you guys know best!

Would my hair be classed as wavy?

I hope this is allowed, title explains it all. I’ve always said I have pin straight hair, it holds no style (not even when I had curtain bangs).

I’ve chopped about 6 inches off recently cause it was bum length and it’s felt lighter and more springy.

First photo is my hair when I get out of bed, no brushing, and second photo is after a brush. I see now it’s not pin straight like it was when it was longer but I still don’t consider it wavy once brushed. Should I be doing a routine or something? If I’ve ruined my hairs natural pattern thinking it was straight I’d like to get it back!! I also find once the air hits it, it tends to look and feel a bit tatty and I’m always feeling the need to brush it. I’ve always wished my hair had more volume so hopefully I can achieve that?

For reference I’ve just turned 18 and I’m currently on an equine course in college three days a week. It’s quite physical cause it involves working with and riding horses. I work one Saturday a month in retail for my college work experience and my employer let me have it as a job. I’ve got hEDS and am at the beginning stages of my physio so it’s slow progress. I’ve only been diagnosed recently due to being unaware anything was wrong until my symptoms became noticable last year and I got worse.

My manager has emailed me asking if I can work every Saturday from now on but to be honest I’m not entirely sure I can manage it. Realistically I probably could but I just don’t know if it’s worth risking my body. I barely manage three days a week with college and my attendance is atrocious so adding to that probably isn’t the best idea, but then again I could do with the money and I have to think about the future as I’m an adult now. College is objectively less important to attend so I don’t feel pressured when I need to be absent but obviously work isn’t the same and I worry that having to be there every Saturday is really gonna take its toll. It’s not just the pain, it’s the exhaustion, dizziness, and the routine I struggle with too (I have also have ADHD).

I try to take every opportunity I can to set myself up well so I don’t fall into old patterns, specifically how I was in school (poor attendance and anxiety). But I feel like I’m always battling with my body on whether I can do things. I’m a very passionate person and I enjoy my job but I can’t tell if I’m using this as an excuse or if I’m really not fit to do the work (I tend to gaslight myself into thinking my eds is in my head whenever I feel somewhat fine😭).

I think it’s also scary as a teenager because I hate the thought of working tbh and want to hold onto the freedom I still have left. I value my days off, and when a lot of them are already spent recovering from college I don’t want to strip myself of any more. I wouldn’t say my eds is too bad, and I’m definitely luckier than some, but I do still injure myself very easily and my symptoms vary depending on the day obviously so I can never guarantee I’ll be ‘fine’ ever Saturday. I don’t want to let anyone at my work down.

How do people manage it all? I’m really stuck, and still need to reply to my manager.

I’ll also add that It’s a family business and they are very understanding but work is still work at the end of the day.
