Thought this was a cool picture. Such a fun truck. 1/8 KKPIT Kone Beetle Truck (KBT).

A few upgrades so far - a few more planned. 1/8th scale motor and electronics, currently running 3S. Really digging my first Arrma.

Had the itch for a bigger buggy and had been contemplating the Rlaarlo DSK 1/8 kit, but didn't want to fork up that much (at once lol). Saw the Typhon mega sale and pulled the trigger. I already had spare 1/8th electronics and backup motor for my KKPIT KBT and have a few ideas for upgrades. Ordered a few things while I waited for the car to arrive.

Also picked up some body posts and a clear shell to paint. Going with a blue color scheme, I replaced the stock turnbuckles and changed out the wheel hexes. Had to dremel the receiver box off for the XC C8 160A ESC to fit perfectly. Threw in a YSIDO 4274 3600kv motor with 15T pinion. Replaced the slipper clutch with a 57T Arrma center diff. AGFRC 24kg digital servo. Flysky TX and RX.

Threw in a CNHL racing 3S 120C 8000mah and took it out for a shakedown this morning. Drove it on some pavement with some spirit for a few minutes and motor was HOT! Otherwise, it handled well for the amount of power. I've got an aluminum motor mount and driveshaft on the way, as well as a fan for the motor and some smaller pinions. I'll be dropping down right away. Currently painting the new body.

New shell painted with Tamiya PS47 iridescent pink/gold, backed with deep purple and metallic black. Trim pieces painted chrome. A few things left to do before it gets mounted.
