Unlikey Scenario, but let’s dream for a few seconds

Imagine Lego simply making a medieval division, to rival the 3rd party printers and 3rd party part makers.

I know, I know, won’t happen, not profitable, not the lego way, so on and so forth, don’t waste your time trying to convince such ideas are not practical, I know myself.

Just feel free to dream for a second here, and comment what things could be done, but for a bit of “realism” to it, let’s try to think of content that would still be making sense for Lego, such as no gore things, no real historical things, and no IP’s such as GOT that somehow are not in the standards for Lego because too much adult content or stuff like that.

How would you view such division? For example, do you think it will also have Duplo sets for the kids?

For me, it could go 2 ways:

  1. The Medieval Division decides to create a map for all the factions ever created, updates old figs and buildings + more civilian things. Just the creation of such map alone would make people go crazy over the Lore nobody knew.

  2. The Medieval Division decides to forget about all factions and releases new ones, but more distinctive in the armors worn. We have just Western knights&warriors, they could create figurines and factions to represent concept such as Eastern European Armor(Look at Rus, Wallachians, Bulgars and so on), Steppe Armor(Mongols, Cumans), Dessert Armor(Arabs, Bedouins), and so on, even diversifying further into Asia with Indian and Chinesse armor, even re-launching the Ninja team. Heck, give us riding Camel already.

Vader keychain was 3$. Hands, Legs and the cape help me make 2 figs

I’d say it was worth it. Nexo Knights villain’s hips for the legs

My current Wallachian&Ottoman Armies

Aiming to create a difference in style between factions rather than color like lego typically does. Historically speaking the armies looked fairly similar, shared area, shared armors… And they should all be on horses… And rather all should be equipped with bows, however I’m making a castle setting so they should be fine without horses.

Looking to increase my Ottoman army substantially, I’ll be glad to check out your Eastern style figurines

If you study deep into European Ottoman Empire History, it’s actually mostly Balkaners fighting each other, being equipped in various styles, more often than you think those would wear more Western style armor, or generally looking more as such rather than Steppe Hordes.

Since I’m trying to produce Wallachians versus an Enemy, It’s easier to distinguish them in various scenarios if I tend to rely more on this type of Eastern Gear.

Hard to switch to skin tones yet, the yellow ones lack what I need, let alone the skin tones.

I know and love many 3rd party options, but I can’t display them since I’m part of a LUG. So I’m looking for Purist ways only.

I already know some options but haven’t got the chance to get yet. For example there is a Light blue Ninjago Figure with cool looking Lammelar Armor, there is also Prince of Persia, some Star Wars figure from 2017 and I also already have a green Samurai armor with Lammelar from Ninjago(Still thinking if I should use it)

Won’t use the Viking Lammelar, that’s already in use for my Wallachian Army
