Why are people mad that everyone is talking about the leaks?

So I myself haven't personally read over the leaks yet, so me arguing whether they are worth talking about is kinda pointless.

That's fine, though, because that's not what I want to talk about.

Why are people in the community so quick to absolutely dunk on anything else related to Project: Eden's Garden in favor of the petition?

I get it— Real victims were hurt. MINORS and people who truly cared about this project were put into positions they frankly NEVER should have been in. Even the project as a whole is effectively dead in the water unless they decide to keep going in spite of everything. It's important that we make sure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions, which is why the petition was created in the first place.

That's literally my whole theme as a person and as an online personality, so that part makes sense to me.

What doesn't make sense to me is that every post I see talking about literally anything other than the Faza situation, people are jumping on other people because they're "being distracted from the petition" or "you're doing harm to the project because it could be spoilers."

Like, what? Are we just not allowed to talk about anything other than the Faza situation anymore?

And distracted from the petition? I'm sure that plenty of people who are in the community know about the Faza situation by now. The Project Eden's Garden Twitter page has over 58k people following them and out of them, 16k people have signed the signature. This situation happened weeks ago and it even leaked over into some other fandoms and we're STILL feeling the effects of it, but progress on the petition has noticeably slowed.

Let's be real for a second. Petitions like this RARELY work, if ever. You want to see some real change?

Write to the companies Faza is employed at or could be employed at.

Talk to anyone who might have worked with him about what he did to a minor and tell them to pass it on to those with more authority than him.

VAs make most of their money from making appearances and doing autograph signings at conventions— contact any and all conventions you can to get him blacklisted.

I would never endorse going after someone in such a manner. While I truly believe that a monster like that shouldn't be allowed to roam free, I'm also not going to limit what I talk about just to push the petition, especially when I've long since signed and basically forced my friends to sign.

Faza was a pedo when this all came out and even before then.

He is a pedo today still.

He'll more than likely be a pedo tomorrow.

And the petition isn't going anywhere, nor will people forget what he's done to this project, nor the people who aided him, so me personally, I'm checking out those leaks and if they're worth talking about, I'll talk about 'em.

My heart truly goes out to the victims of Faza as well as the fans and staff who wanted to see this special project come to life. I know the staff especially are still in recovery mode after finding out everything around the same time we did.

However, I personally don't want to keep harping on the negatives and am actively choosing to focus on the positives. I'll keep talking about the project, making my P:EG videos, do what I can to keep the project alive until the true final nail— the team's decision— is put into the coffin.

TL;DR: Stop policing others just because they're not making the Faza situation their whole life. He's already out the community and out of the project. Though that's enough for most people, just because they want to talk about something else, that doesn't mean they don't care any less about the project.
