Hi all, this is my first time posting here. I wanted to buy a toy package from a European seller (France). However, the shipping is €37 to the US and they suggested I perhaps find someone who lives in Canada who can ship it to me in the US. I’m 22F and a heteromantic ace, and have been debating if I’m grey or demiromantic due to how hard it is for me to feel genuine romantic attraction unless I know the person or if I really find them aesthetically attractive, nice, etc. I went on AceSpace thinking that I’ll find some matches and MAN is it hard. I always considered myself to be open-minded, but found myself swiping on a lot of people due to incompatibilities (stances on children, vices, location, etc.) and then I come to see a screen that is almost empty with only a handful of people left.

I’ve gotten quite a few matches, have initiated chats, but I come to find we’re not compatible or they just stopped responding. Now I feel hesitant to be the one who reaches out first because I’ve had several bad instances where I did and now think that I’m not “womanly” enough for a guy to pursue first. It’s such a damaging mindset (yes I know it’s 2026) but I can’t help but feel discouraged. I just don’t know if it’s because I’m potentially on the aro spectrum or if I’m just too choosy.

I’m a re-admit to Valencia and saw that the deadline for dues were today at 5. I checked the site and it says it’s costing me several thousand dollars, which I assume is for out-of-state? I don’t want to get dropped. Should I eat the price now and can I get reimbursed once I submit the appropriate documents for being a Florida resident or is too late?
