I am getting my new 2025 Mach-e Set up and everything has gone perfectly, except for setting up the Public Charging App.
It is set up on my phone and I tried to activate it in my car and keep getting the following activation notification. So I called the help line in the Ford App. To their credit a human answered very quickly.
I was told that the Public Charging App "in the car" no longer works. Blue Oval "in the car" no longer works. That you can initiate navigation to a charger from the phone/app only.
Has anyone else run into this issue? I just want to make sure I am not misunderstanding something and that I am do what I need to do to get to a fast charger in a good state (pre-conditioning).
Be easy if I missed another post on this, but aside from trouble with the app I haven't found anything that says what the Ford helpline says - that the Public Charging App is no longer working in vehicles (phone app initialization only).
