A very successful restaurateur really just wants to enjoy a sandwich in peace but everyone around him is having emotional issues and communication breakdowns

The very nature of this film exists in the spaces in between. Like how it’s neither comedy nor drama. Funny nor sad.

Repost: Never before has a donut been looked upon with such desire

Was surprised no one got this last time after I dropped the hints so here we go

Hints -

Everything hangs on one man’s decision

Many battles decide the fate of the last bastion of hope

There is a man who requires shortened pantaloons

The last clue is the dead giveaway I thought everyone would get

Everything seems real but it’s actually being televised unbeknownst to the MC. The love interest tries to reveal it only to be sent away by the ones making the show. In the end all is revealed

Hints so far

Is a kids comedy

Very widely seen tv movie

[TOMT]Fantasy novel series set in a temple where characters study magic. The main character is basically a prodigy. end of the first book the main character freezes time in the temple in a fit of rage and then he is stuck as the only one unfrozen and he has to figure out how to reverse his magic

Most of the magic users aren’t very powerful. I think there may be a toxic romance plot in it. Thin novels. No more than 150-200 pages. I remember the covers all being similar and having a single figure and a giant white circle and it looking like pencil drawn not paint. Probably from 70s-early 90s. Bought at a used book store as a kid in the mid 2000s

Finally watching Draft Day!

Why did none of you warn me about Diddy. I hold this sub fully accountable. We have drills for these kinds of things people.

Edit - finished the movie and I loved it. Maybe the most preposterous sports movie I’ve ever seen and I’m including all the air bud sequels and angels in the outfield. Got super emotional twice at both draft pick moments.

Everything but the steak movie

So my whole thing on this movie is that anytime Stiller and Aniston aren’t on screen together it’s good. Whenever they’re on screen together it’s a disaster. Negative chemistry. Unwatchable. Then you get back to a PSH scene.Funny pre 30 rock Baldwin. Starts with a great Hank Azaria performance giving a favorite monologue of mine. Everything around the actual meat of the thing is good. I call it an everything but the steak movie. The apps good, the sides are good, the drinks are good, the desert is good but you came to a steak house and got an inedible piece of rubber for a steak.

What’s your everything but the steak movie?
