No, we don’t do notary

Everyday there’s like a handful of people asking about notary. They either accept that we don’t do it or they get snobby.

“But google says you do” “You should change that.”
I’m not in control of that. They don’t google this EXACT location either so they use their AI generated answer as proof that we must notarize their documents. Then they walk around the store asking multiple employees the same question to be told no like somebody is lying.

I don’t know anything about notary. Maybe some stores offer it but I know that mine doesn’t. So we tell people know then they get petty.

I’m not going to cheat for rewards. It’s not my fault my percentage dropped because management decided to send 5 people who don’t care about rewards to me. I offer to sign every customer. I tell them about our deals and promotion (which we haven’t had any good ones in a while and recycling policy changed).
They expect me to force signups by asking for their phone number and entering the information before they realize. That doesn’t work when most customers are trying to pay and leave. I’m not going to cheat but the only other option to have a chance for sign ups is to lie and exaggerate about the rewards program. Or maybe the policy should change so that small transactions don’t count cause obviously those people don’t care or come here enough to need to sign up. This job has this stupid quirk of making it difficult on employees with these metrics. It should not matter this fucking much

He took a picture of me and I told him not to do that. He’s telling me that he needs proof of his return and can’t trust us. He’s telling me he can’t trust me and mumbling some bullshit about staples. My face isn’t a receipt. Take your shit to whole foods if you’re that paranoid.

Fucking hate this job. It’s made worse because the people who love to come here also see anyone working here as beneath them. Genuinely fuck those people
