I was a 7 years old girl on a Krakow-Shannon flight, this was back when the flights only took one currency on board for snacks. As an anxious people pleasing kid, I went over to the trolly and asked for the price of a candybar while pointed to the first one I could see, which was sadly a snickers. I asked if payment with złoty was possible but the flight attendant said it was not. I walked away and remember sulking silently curled up on the chair.

Towards the end of the flight the lovely lady shows up and holds out the full size snickers bar for me to have! I was very greatful and so touched by the fact that she did that for me! I didn’t have the heart to tell her I absolutely hate snickers. The gesture still lives rent free in my head as a wholesome memory and shaped a big chunk of my faith in humanity. I hope she’s doing well.
