‘Gap’ in employment history

Hi all,

I was looking at my HMRC app and reviewing my employment history due to an upcoming role for a new employer. Long story short, one of previous employments is missing and I cannot seem to find any documents obtained after I left. I have a copy of one or two payslips from copies I gave my current employer as part of their pre-employment screening - however unfortunately nothing else. This was a role which was part-time and done alongside my university degree, and stupidly the correspondence email put down was my (now expired) university email. Is there any way around this? The vetting for my upcoming role is thorough, so I’m looking to get ahead of the curve and get this amended.

Thank you in advance.

Hi all,

With vetting, to my knowledge my close family - mother, father, brother do not have any criminal convictions or been associate with criminality in any way. My partner of 4.5 years who is a police officer - so no concerns there.

I just have two ‘third parties’ who I have issues with and want to gain some clarity from the group. (1) - My dad’s partner, who I am living with (with my partner) whilst we save our house deposit, to my knowledge has 1 (maybe 2) instance(s) of assault many years ago due to a fight - and considered spent. Nothing current. My uncle - on my mum’s side, I know to my knowledge has a conviction for driving under the influence (drug) 2/3 years ago and is now considered spent. Asking my mum, she says he may have been convicted for the same thing when he was younger - but nothing she is too certain about. I really do not associate with him, and rarely see him … max 4/5 times a year for family occasions. And always around other people I know he’s considered extended family - but absolutely intend to declare him as my uncle etc.

Mostly looking for some piece of mind, but also some clarification on how these two parties will be considered. My step mother I only ‘associate’ with at home, she has a highly reputable job and no current issues, and my uncle is not someone I consider to associate with only really a family member who I have no control over his life choices. Thanks all
