I've just had a very strong offer put in front of me from our biggest competitor, we're in the Ai space i'm the founding AE at a seed round and our competitor is Series A and leader in this space.

I'll be joining as 2nd most senior rep there out of 5. They've increase my comp by 100% (something which i was shocked at).

I've never moved to a direct competitor before. Given how early stage we are and that i was 1st sale rep to join the company, I feel this could be a very hard convo which can go good or bad. For context, I report directly into our CEO.

How would you position this/go about this conversation?
