Melonian light fighting vehicle.
Hight Mobility combat vehicle entered service in 1968
HMCV-68
The HMCV-68, originally named "Vehicles no.034" during its test and prototype phase is a light armored combat vehicles, designed by the Melonian armored force inn 1967 and later entered mass production one year later, retired and got replaced in late 80s.
as the name suggests, HMCV-68 most notable characteristic is its impressive maneuverbility. With a top speed of 70+ km/h, it rolls faster than any Melonian tracked vehicle. HMCV-68 also is capable of crossing rough terrain and shallow waters because of its lightweight.
However, HMCV-68 is fragile and lack any firepower compared to MBTs or other armored vehicles in Melonian armored force arsenal. its armor can only holds against small arm fires and shrapnels, so its not suitable for facing enemies directly with it. Still, Its high maneuverbility and low-profile size with its lightweight make it perfect for reconnaissance, mass deployment for quick infantry fire support, which is exactly what its designed for.
