Tying to two joints?

Hey all, apologies if I trepass any rules. They're accidental.

I need a good knot for tying stuff together that will be dependent on 2 (if not more) sturdy joints holding together something that is in between them. I have needed this before in the past when I was moving house but right now I want to use it to secure a heavy piece of furniture that is not dependent on just 1 joint, How can I best knot together multiple joint so that they may share the load of a heavy object (furniture/houswhold)?

TLDR: Someone who doesn't know knots is asking about knots involving 2 or more load-bearing joints.
