Custom Inspiration

I'm moving into a new home soon and I will have a room dedicated to my vinyl setup and making music.

This is my current setup. I have my records on these cheap shelves and my turntable is part of my living room setup. I plan to get a separate turntable, speakers, preamp, amp and sub for the new system in the listening room. While I'm at it, I want to contract a local builder to create a custom unit to hold my records with room for growth along with the turntable, preamp and amp.

I'm interested to see the customized solutions you guys have come up with to help inspire me before I start designing. Please show me your custom cabinets!

First Time Moving The Collection

I'll be moving in just a couple days, and this is the first time I've moved since I started collecting. They were nearly the last thing I packed, and I still left a bag of records out to spin while I wrap up my packing. I'm afraid to stack them, so I've just set them all out beside each other. I plan to move these myself. My intention is for them to be the last thing loaded up and the first thing unloaded at the new house. Super grateful I'm moving while my collection is still relatively small.

Feel free to comment any lessons learned or horror stories you've had moving your collection.

I haven't gotten to listen with headphones yet, but this record sounds incredible. I love the mix, and the vinyl itself is amazing. Phenomenal pressing. I've wanted a proper live Billie Eilish album for a long time, and I'm super grateful for this. I love it.
