Finally, my hair looks awesome!

It’s taken me forever to find products that actually work for my fine, low porosity curls, but I finally feel like I’ve found a routine that gives me shine and definition without making my hair look greasy or overloaded. Sharing in case it helps anyone with a similar hair type!

My current routine:

• I shampoo twice with Not Your Mother’s Curl Talk Shampoo and skip rinse-out conditioner.

• Right after showering, I apply a small amount of Kinky-Curly Knot Today Leave-In to soaking wet hair.

• Then I spray my hair down again to make sure it stays very wet and divide it into two sections—top and bottom.

• I apply a small amount of Curlsmith Feather-Light Protein Cream to the bottom section.

• Then I brush style using a Denman brush.

• I repeat on the top section with a little less product and brush style again.

• Once both sections are done, I scrunch everything upward to help my curls clump.

• I diffuse immediately after styling and skip drying with a towel/shirt first because it tends to break apart my curl pattern.

The styler leaves a soft cast, and once my hair is fully dry I gently scrunch it out with clean hands for extra volume and softness.
